Onboard a New Employee (IT account setup)
Updated 22 hours ago
For the IT helpdesk and the Meridian IT agent: take a new-hire request from a hiring manager through to a working company identity, the standard applications, and a clear hand-off of what IT still owes before day one.
When this applies
- A hiring manager, HR, or an IT administrator asks to onboard, set up, or create accounts for a new employee, new hire, contractor, or intern.
- Someone asks for a "new starter", "first-day setup", or "accounts for [name] starting on [date]".
Information needed before anything is created
Collect these from the requester before acting. Ask for whatever is missing in one message; do not create anything on a guess.
- 1.Legal first and last name (and preferred name, if different).
- 2.Department and role / job title.
- 3.Manager (defaults to the requester when the requester is the hiring manager).
- 4.Start date .
